  • What Do I Do while I’m Waiting for a Tow Truck?

  • Move over as far as possible

If your vehicle is safely able to move, pull as far out of traffic and onto the shoulder as you can. Mainly, this will keep you safely out of traffic, but it will also help your tow truck driver position their vehicle next to yours.

  • Indicate that your vehicle is immobile

This can include turning on your car or truck’s hazard lights or setting up flares or reflective triangles if you have them. The more visible you can make your vehicle (even in the daytime), the better chance other drivers will take note and avoid further accidents or damage.

  • Be wary of others

There are plenty of good Samaritans in the world, but it always pays to be cautious. M & M drivers will also give you all of their identification upon request, so you can verify it’s them when they arrive.

  • Go wherever you feel safest

If you feel best staying in the car, do so (with your seatbelt still on). However, if you deem that it is safer to be even further away from traffic, exit the vehicle through the passenger door and stand back from the road.

  • Gather your things

Make sure you have everything you need from your car before your tow truck driver begins work on moving your car. Using the time between calling us and our arrival to grab all your belongings will allow you to calmly assess what you need as well as speed up the process once we arrive.
